Hi Ladies,
Happy New Year! Hope you had some lovely time last night & today!
I took on two challenges in today's card. I used the Wednesday Sketch Challenge on SCS as a jumping off point and then took inspiration from one of my favorite blog, KWernerDesign.com
Kristina Werner is amazingly talented graphic designer, stamper...you name it. She posts beautiful weekly Color Inspirations, as well as Make a Card Monday video tutorials.
This week is Color Inspiration #36.
I've loved Kristina's inspirations for a long time but, this was the first time I made sure to grab enough time to really dive into something I wanted to post & share with you. I truly love this color combination. Pinks & greens make me happy!
Here's Today's card:
It turned out okay although I'm not 100% in love with it. Although, I could probably work it over for another couple of hours and end up with not much different. I'm embarrassed to say it took me most of the afternoon. Didn't mean to stamp away this afternoon but, I was having a tough time fitting a rub-on sentiment from the Hand Drawn Bundle coming out in the Spring-Summer Catalog on January 19th. In the bundle, the Loop to Loop Rub-ons are so super cute I used the middle & small sized white flower rub on on Pretty in Pink. Then I embellished it w/Rose Red stitching from the Stampin' Write Marker. I punched out the small flower using the 1/2" circle and put it on a Build a brad.
I took Rose Red brads & covered them w/the 2 way Glue and dipped them in Rose Red Cosmo Glitter for the corner accents on the Three for You Flower punched flowers.
The tiny strip is from the Hand Drawn Designer Paper in a beautiful Olive floral pattern, mounted on Certainly Celery cardstock.
Stamped the main piece in Pretty in Pink, Rose Red & Whisper White. I cheated a bit and used Regal Rose. Not intentionally, I just grabbed the wrong cardstock and didn't notice it until I'd already took the picture. I used the Ticket Corner Punch on this piece, layered the ribbons, and voila...there it is. I think the rest is pretty easy to guess but, if you have any questions, please send me a note. I'd love to chat with you!
Happy New Year!!
