Happy Stampin'
Hi all,
I know it's been forever. I lost my stampin' mojo from about May-Sept. Not sure why...perhaps it's these pesky kids that keep following me ;)
Here's one of the cards we did at a class I held up here in the Stampin' Studio about a week or so ago. I'm really in love w/the Magenta, Purple, Raspberry trend happening in fashion lately. I took it as inspiration and here's what I came up with for the ladies.
Sorry for the color being a bit off. My main camera met an untimely death w/a leaky sports bottle. I've put it in rice to dry it out (advice I found on the internet) but, I'm not expecting a miracle.
I snipped apart the Lace Ribbon Border flourets, then cut those in half and secure them to the Melon DSP circle.
Cardstock, & Ink: Melon Mambo (also DSP), Elegant Eggplant, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive & Whisper White.
Stamp Set: Bold Blossom (Retired)
Punches: Scallop Oval, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer, Lace Ribbon Border, 2 1/2" Circle, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle
Accessory: Olive Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Brad, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals, Eggplant Ric Rac (retired), Subtles Button & white bakers twine.
Please email me if you have any questions,
Happy Stampin'
Hi,
Things have been a whirlwind for the last month. School events keep me running, especially this time of year. First in April I co-chaired our schoolwide art show. My friend and I created this 4 years ago to celebrate the music and the art created by the kids of our elementary school. It's a ton of work (my pedometer clocked 19,050 steps on the day of the event!) but, very rewarding.
This month we are working on the end of the year BBQ & Carnival. Another biggie but, something we all really look forward to all year.
In the middle of these two big responsibilities, we are taking today to celebrate the amazing Williams teachers & staff with a luncheon. Four to five times a year about a dozen moms work together to create a buffet of salads and desserts.
Here is the dessert & food cards I created. These Carmel Apple Cupcake Parfaits were inspired by Lou, who was inspired by Tidy Mom's Cupcakes in a Jar.
I couldn't find any Mason jars at our local stores, so used clear cocktail cups. They are not quite as finished as I would've liked but, the time was ticking away too quickly, esp with 30 staff members.
Each Parfait uses 1 1/2 cupcakes (I cooked them w/o the cupcake wrappers so that people could just dive in with a fork.) I stamped the apple from Tart & Tangy stamp set in Certainly Celery w/Espresso stem. Then punched them out using the scallop circle punch. I would've loved to put some ribbon & more but, simple is nice, too.
Hope this brings you some inspiration (or at the very least makes you hungry.)
Thanks for stopping by,
Hi all, I've been quite a busy stamper lately but, haven't had enough time to post. Hopefully, I'll be able to share some new things to inspire you.
The first project I created is an allowance clipboard using a retired tri-clipboard I've been waiting for inspiration. First, I used the Newsprint Designer Paper to cover both sides of the base. It's so great to have all those coordinating papers in one paper package.
Then I used a 5/8" black grosgrain ribbon around the edge of both front and back to make the edges pretty and clean. I mixed them up for fun interest. All three boys have their own pocket for the best part...the cash!
Under the clips are notepads to keep track of any "pluses" for extra allowance and minuses (which are rare, haha....)
I used Just Perfect Alphabet Stamp set to label each pocket for the boys' initials N, A, & Q. It's hard to tell from the photos but, the black square under the letters is embossed using the Stampin' Up Embossing Folder Perfect Polka Dots, then weathered the edges a bit using the Cutter Kit Tool. I punched the scallop squares in vanilla & inked w/black.
Hope you enjoy,
Hi all,
Needed a quick Thank You card and came up w/this card. Nothing too fancy.
I used retired Stampin' Up Patterned Transperencies that I've coveted and finally decided to crack open for this card. I attached the transperency w/tiny staples on top of a dry embossed background piece. Then I decorated it w/a felt, rolled flower & some Stampin' Up pearls.
Hope it brings you some warm fuzzies & thanks for looking,
Hi all,
Wow, does time fly. I won't bother trying to explain why I always blog in fits and spurts but, hope you enjoy what I do post, when I finally get time to post it.
We've had tons of birthdays in the last 10 days and I have quite a few projects I'd like to share. Here's what I worked on this weekend. This is a birthday pennant banner I made for a friend.
Here's a close up of one of the sections:
The paper rosette is Pumpkin Pie, the pennant is Ballet Blue and the center is retired decorative paper from last year's Summer Mini Catalog, called Travel Journal. I used Moss & Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon, as well as Blue Gingham ribbon.
The letters came from the Happy Birthday Decorative Stip Sizzix Die. I snipped them apart and then coated them w/2-way glue & Copper Glitter. The letters are really a copper IRL but, can't seem to get the photo quite right.
I'll be back soon to share the other birthday projects as soon as I can.
Happy days to you,
Hi all,
Been really kinda gray around here. This too shall pass but, in the meantime I wanted to share some Valentine's smiles before the day is officially over.
Here's the cards I made my other two boys for this special day, since I love these three boys more than myself.
Aidan's card...
My middle son is sweet and quiet. He loves animals and I thought he'd just love this little guy. We'll see.
Stamps: Stampin' Up's I {Heart} Hearts, Greeting Card Kids
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accesories: Two Step Owl Punch, Love Impressions DSP (Occasions Mini), Polka Dotted Grosgrain (back side.)
-----
Quintin's Card....
My youngest little guy loves glitter and girls. He has a 'posse' of girlfriends who he plays w/everyday. It's so sweet how close he is with his friends. They've known each other for so many years that it's like he has an extra large group of adopted cousins.
Also, it also reminds me so much of my grandma. She had a Kewpie doll next to her bedroom TV for many years. I don't know where it came from but, it always welcomed me in her room with a smile.
Well, I'm sorry these are a bit late to inspire you but, hope you spent the day full of love and smiles.
See you again soon,
HI all,
Here's a quick post inspired by yesterday's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
It's a pocket card w/a gift card on the inside...
The inside stamp is from an old SU set, I've loved for years. Sorry, don't have the name in front of me but, please email if you'd like to find out the name.
Thanks for stopping by & sorry for being so short. Have been sick and didn't want you to think I'd fallen off the face of the earth again!
I'm wife & mom who loves to stamp & craft when I can sneak away.
